Step one: Delete your entire data folder
Pace 2: Delete your Fallout iv folder
Footstep 3: Uninstall Fallout 4 from steam
Step 4: Go to your documents / my games / fallout iv, and delete your .ini configuration files

What Scarecrow said is the only choice, annihilation else risks game/salve game corruption in fact if you lot have Fallout 4 set to sync with the Steam Deject, yous need to disable this as well as information technology'll just re-download your most recent saves once you re-install the game, saves which rely on content added by the mods y'all were using.

If you don't care almost your saves and so follow my method, simply note that any saves used with any heavily scripted mods or anything that changes the game's core functions volition cause the save to be corrupted

then in short i need to redownload the entire game? TT_TT

Not the brightest nor the all-time around, but does Verify Game Integrity helps?

If you lot want a clean game and then yes, or you tin exercise the lazy route:
Step 1) Delete every unmarried file in your primary fallout iv directory, launcher and all
Step 2) Delete everything but the Fallout four - files, like the sounds, textures, meshes, .esm files etc., and your dlc
Step three) Verify the game cache and It'll re-download the game basically

I made certain to play this i vanilla until the toolset comes out, as the official GECK will virtually likely invalidate most of the mods currently being used anyways!

my friend uses mods and I noticed things merely get a trivial glitchy sometimes similar everywhere, nothing game breaking though....well normally..
still, its some times fun to watch him and meet how messed up things tin become.

Heh, heh, it's funny, this is one of the few bethesda games that I played for any length of time moddless! I pre-ordered Oblivion too, merely information technology was like playing a interactive screen saver, until I installed OOO!

No, it only check for the files that SHOULD be there non the i you added with mods. Mods use loose scripts and .esp that interfer with your game files and at times overwrite them, esp in pre-CK modding
